My Story

My daughter Sarah Beard, OT Epsom, and I are taking part in the Abseil St Helier fundraiser on Thursday 18 June 2026.

This is a tiny effort to thanks the Trust (including linked St. George's Hospital Trust) for pulling me through an acute MI and heart failure exactly two years ago, back to a full recovery and several more decades to look forward to.

We will be abseiling down the front of St Helier Hospital to raise funds for Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Charity and we would love your support.

Whatever is donated will provide extra support to our hospitals, over and above what the NHS can deliver on its own - including funding state-of-the-art equipment, refurbishing hospitals and community services facilities and supporting staff health and wellbeing events.

Hoot loudly if you happen to be passing between 10 and 11am.
Gravity will do the rest ...
