My Story

Yes, I will be taking a step over the edge... but not what you might be thinking! 

On Thursday 18th June 2026, I will head to the roof of the building and abseil down the front of St Helier Hospital to raise funds for their amazing charity, and I would really love your support. I was born in this hospital and had all my children in the very same hospital many years later! 

As many of you know I love a challenge and this particular one is especially close to my heart because the children’s inpatient and outpatient departments (Queen Mary's) at St Helier Hospital have been an incredible support to me and my family during some very difficult times.

When my daughter was recently admitted to hospital, the care, compassion and reassurance shown to us meant so much.

Trying to balance life with a poorly child was not easy! 

The staff support her through her regular blood tests (something she absolutely hates) yet they always go above and beyond to make her feel as comfortable and cared for. She even gets stickers and little toys to keep afterwards! 🙂

I want to raise money to help support these departments so they can continue the amazing work they do for children and families like ours every single day.

Funds donated will help provide extra support to the hospital beyond what the NHS can fund alone. 

Any donation, big or small, would mean so much. Thank you for helping me give something back to a team that has given so much to us.
